South Koreans often practice "Psittacism" by repeating "Colonial rule by Imperial Japan is the worst exploitation ever done in a history of mankind." Then, I always get closer to them and say to their faces "Would you say the same thing even after you have been exposed to realities and historical facts of what colonization really was ?" I show them comparative analyses of education systems, taxation systems, military budgets in the nations that experienced colonization such as Vietnam, India, nations in Latin America, etc.
Most of them then start mumbling because they are hard put to reply my question. Some get so emotional, lose their control, and fade away after kicking tables.

Note: Psittacism is speech or writing that appears mechanical or repetitive in the manner of a parrot. More generally it is a pejorative description of the use of words which appear to have been used without regard to their meaning. Wikepedia
I don’t see any clear definition of Nobel Peace Prize since it’s given to President Obama, a leader of a nuclear state for making a speech in Prague, Czech. Prime Minister Mr. Eisak Sato won the same prize by declaring three non-nuclear principles in 1967.
One must remember a major difference between two winners. The former represents a nuclear state that actually used bombs while the latter represents a state that suffered nuclear attacks by the former. If one were qualified to receive Nobel Peace Prize for either making a speech or declaring principles, all the Prime Ministers of Japan after Prime Minister Sato should have received the prize since Japan is supposed to have upheld three non-nuclear principles.
On the other hand, no progress in denuclearization has been seen since President Obama made a famous speech in Prague, Czech.
Note: Three Non-Nuclear Principles Proposed and Upheld by the Government of Japan
Japan shall neither possess nor manufacture nuclear weapons, nor shall it permit their introduction into Japanese territory. The principles were outlined by Prime Minister Eisaku Satō in a speech to the House of Representatives in 1967 amid negotiations over the return of Okinawa from the United States. The Diet formally adopted the principles in 1971. -Wikipedia
Korean supporters of Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors have insulted Japan and her people by waving a banner saying "We all congratulate Japan and her people on an occurrence of "Northeastern Japan Major Quake" during a football match between Japanese football club(Cerezo Osaka) and Korean football club (Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors).
The entire world should have to worry about what Koreans might do next against those suffering from disasters, calamities, etc. , considering their behaviors as clearly evidenced in the following photo.
South Korea sent five humans and two dogs to Japan after Japan suffered a triple disaster. And, South Korea decided not to make donations because of mounting tension over Takeshima issue while Taiwan donated USD 18 billion (largest among all the donations made so far ) and China USD 10 million.
Despite Japan's techincal and financial assistance extended to South Korea in the last half century, and investment and development during 36 years annexation of Korea by Japan , South Korea has returned nothing but evil for all the good things Japan has done so far.
Who is lying about the Korean past? Who benefits from the act of lying?
Before exposing yourself to the article below, you should watch this video in which Mr. Toshio Tamogami, Chief of Staff of Japan's Air Self-Defense Force from March 2007 to November 2008 discusses Japan's relationship with the Korean peninsula from 1910 to 1945.
I list major points he discusses in this video.
1. The Korean peninsula was always in turmoil because of interventions by China and Russia more than 100 years ago, thus destabilizing the East Asia.
2. The year 2010 is the 100th anniversary of annexation of Korea by Japan. Japan-Korea annexation treaty was signed 100 years ago and was fully recognized by the international community in those days.
3. The annexation is often misinterpreted as colonization widely practiced in the world by the western powers. Japan's annexation can be defined as almost like merger of equals in business terms, thereby securing the equal rights to the Koreans. Their life was totally different from those living in the western colonies.
The Koreans were in fact admitted to the military academy, thus producing high-ranking Korean officers who commanded the lower-ranking Japanese soldiers. Some Korean officers later became Generals.
I remember Korean Lieutenant General Hon Saekuand Lieutenant General Kuribayashi known for Iwo Jima battle were graduates of the same class at the Japanese Military Academy.
Lieutenant General Hon Saeku was charged with ill-treatment of POWs and sentenced to death for what he did not do at all at Philippines Military Tribunal. He was however told that his life can be saved because he is Korean. He flatly refused it and said "I am Lieutenant General of the Imperial Japanese Army."
4. Japan established 9 Imperial Universities (7 in Japan, 1 in Korea and 1 in Taiwan) in those days. Two Imperial Universities in Korea and Taiwan were opened even before Osaka and Nagoya Imperial Universities were established.
5. After the end of WWII, Japan asked if the Koreans in Japan would desire to return to the Korean peninsula Those wishing to do so were returned at their own will. Those who desired to stay in Japan are now called the Korean residents with special privileges in Japan.
6. South Korea declared to be independent in 1948. Treaty on Basic Relations between Japan and the Republic of Korea was signed in 1965, thereby settling all the issues existing between two nations with the payment of $800 million in grants and soft loans and at the same time Japan abandoned its assets worth $50 billion left in South Korea. The financial and technical assistance extended to South Korea under the treaty helped South Korea develop its economy.
Watch this video showing Korea before and after its annexation by Japan.
Before annexation 1. Seoul was almost like nothing but some poor villages.
2. Korean women wore traditional clothes with their breasts exposed. Only women who gave birth to a son were permitted to wear the special attire. Those women were so proud of wearing this attire with their breasts sticking out in the public.
After annexation 1. The city of Seoul was modernized with street cars, department stores, electricity, sewage system, railway system, dams, industrial complex, etc.
2. Japan placed much emphasis on education by establishing thousands of schools throughout the Korean peninsula. Japan developed text books in Hangul and popularized Hangul in Korea because only a few percents of the population was educated.
The above is only a small portoin of Japan's contributions to the development of the Korean peninsula which both South Korea and North Korea have so far denied.
With what you have just watched in your mind, read what's written below and you will have some idea of what is true and what is not.
Mr. Kim Mǎn Zhe (金満哲) stated about his own country and people is True? This is a question being often asked by many Japanese bloggers, which I recently came across. I will tentatively translate his statement into English since a large number of the Japanese bloggers have shown a keen interest in his description of South Korea and its people.
South Korean Critic Mr. Kim Mǎn Zhe 金満哲 says:
My people, South Koreans are all liars. I feel so ashamed of this fact and find it regrettable.
South Korea has been modernized all by itself? Don't be stupid! The modernization of South Korea has been achieved by Japan with an input of enormous investment and human resources into our country.
South Korea resisted the Japanese administration during 36 years of annexation? You must be kidding! My people South Koreans have willingly submitted themselves to the Japanese administration like donkeys. That is how it really was. Although there was very small resistance, everyone from top to bottom had admired Japan and had tried to become Japanese.
I was so shocked and became speechless to know that South Koreans believe in the achievement of South Korea's independence all by itself. No Koreans desired to be independent from Japan but the United States of America forced us to become independent. It is a truth.
"Hangan Miracle!" Don't make me laugh! The economic development of South Korea has been achieved with an enormous amount of economic and technical assistance extended by Japan under the name of compensations. Any uncivilized people would have achieved economic growth if assisted as much as we have.
The Japanese culture has grown out of Korea? You really must be kidding? Just remember that we had no culture at all before Korea was annexed to Japan! Before 1910 annexation, our peninsula was filled with the people living like beggars.
The present Korea is a house built on sand not even built by us but built by others. And, the house is full of vainglory, hypocrisy, distortion and arrogance. All we can see here are mimic, dependency and distortion.
Without realizing what the true qualities of Korea are, it seems that Koreans both in South Korea and in Japan must have lost their minds.
I have to admit that the whole thing is nothing but shame.
The following is a description of South Korea and its people in Japanese by Mr. Kim Mǎn Zhe (金満哲) .
Note: The economic growth South Korea achieved in 1970s is called "Hangan Miracle". The above article is subject to change whenever the author finds it necessary to add, correct, delete, etc.
It is the internationally recognized fact that the Korean peninsula has been a great source of generating "pain in the ass" although it seems that the people on the peninsula have never realized it. One good solution the decent world came up with in 2007 was to let them realize it by keeping its rep. posted as UN Chief.
Regrettably, they seem to have totally failed to realize a very considerate and concessional expression of sympathy toward them. The only thing the decent world should expect is nothing but disappointment.
Turning readers' attention to the stated aims of the United Nations, they are to facilitate cooperation in international law, international security, economic development, social progress, human rights, and achievement of world peace. And, UN system is based on five principal organs, one of which is the International Court of Justice.
On Oct. 24, 2007 (UN Day), Ban Ki-moon prepared and distributed pamphlets "Welcome to KOREA" at the concert held by him in the capacity of UN Chief and attended by 1,600 diplomats and others.
The pamphlets prepared and distributed by UN Chief BanKi-Moon from S. Korea describes Takeshima islets as being part of S. Korea and Sea of Japan as East Sea, taking advantage of his position as UN Chief.
Despite a strong protest from Japan, he did not bother neither to take the pamphlets back from the attendants nor to apologize to Japan for his lack of decency in the important international event, knowing that the Government of Japan has been demanding the government of south korea to appear at the International Court of Justice over Takeshima issue for decades, and knowing that "Sea of Japan" is an internationally recognized naming except where terrorists live in. Namely, South Korea and North Korea.
And, he even stated to his people that he would do his best to contribute to the development of his own country "South Korea" when he visited S. Korea in July 3, 2008.
Sack UN Chief Ban Ki-moon over his unfair practice at UN and strongly biased toward Japan and her people!
A Profile of Ban Ki-moon:
A well-known anti-Japan South Korean who served as 33rd Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, South Korea from January 17, 2004 to November 10, 2006. He is currently serving as 8th Secretary-General of the United Nations. He assumed office on January 1, 2007.

To those who are still digging around for “anything that they may consider related to war crimes of the Imperial Japanese Forces (regardless of the historical facts), wasting their life on it:
Don’t limit your survey to the Pacific War but expand it to the First Japan-China war (1894-1895), the First Japan-Russia War (1904-1905), and the World War I (1914-1918). Be fair! Dig out for war crimes if any! Show us your findings!
Mr. Tamogami Toshio, ex-Chief of Staff of Japan Air Self-Defense Forces states as follows:
I believe that a history is written by a victor who forces a loser to accept it. The United States of America who won just one war (against Japan) has imposed its historical perspective on Japan, thereby spreading throughout the world a fabricated story of “U.S.A. is a knight in shining armor" believing in justice and democracy while Japan is diabolical dictatorship.
After the Greater East Asia War was over, Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers (SCAP), the title held by General Douglas MacArthur during the Occupation of Japan prohibited the use of an expression "The Greater East Asia War" and published for the nationwide distribution the American-made history of the war under the tile of "Peace and War" on Japanese newspapers. Since its publication, Japan has used "The Pacific War" even on school textbooks.
"Peace and War" was prepared in 1943 to describe a history of the Pacific War viewed from the U.S. perspectives. As soon as the U.S. forces advanced into Japan, they ordered the Ministry of Education, the Government of Japan to use it as a teaching material.
This "Peace and War" was prepared by the U.S. State Department to justify the purposes of the war U.S.A. had pursued; therefore, it is a propaganda document. In this document, one will find a detailed description of the World War II, trying to prove that the World War II was a war between "fascism pursued by the tripartite of Germany, Italy, and Japan" and "democracy represented by the Great Britain, the United States of America, and the Soviet Union", in which "Democracy defeated Evil Fascism" has been described in such a great detail.
Japan's modern history and colonization of Asia by the west are inseparably related to each other. There are three major points we should consider as prerequisites for describing a history of modernizing Japan.
At the starting point of Japan's modernization, Japan was faced with growing military threats from Great Britain, Russia, France, Netherlands, U.S.A., Germany, etc. while nothing but their battles for domination in Asia prevented them from fully and easily colonizing Asia. Therefore, they were still fighting for supremacy in Asia while Japan was going through a process of modernizing herself, so as to maintain her own independence. ex. Great Britain completed her control over India just 10 years before Meiji Restoration in 1868, Burma in 1886, and Malay peninsula in 1909. France took Vietnam by force in 1887. Netherlands officially colonized Indonesia in 1904. U.S.A. annexed Hawaii in 1898, and seized Philippine the same year. Russia was posing a great threat to Japan in those years.
As shown in the above, Japan was completely surrounded by the western militaristic nations who had strong belief in colonialism for their own benefits. Even China was struggling with difficulties to preserve her own lands since China was in a deteriorating state resulting from its excessive bureaucracy. Korea was just a vassal state of China. Japan vehemently desired that Korea would soon become independent from China and would quickly modernize herself, thereby strengthening Japan's defense against the western aggression. Either the western powers or Russia would have colonized the Korean peninsula if nothing done. The only option left for Japan was to help Korea become independent from China. Japan had much stronger awareness of risks since Japan had experienced long-lasted Samurai period.
China and Korea were powerless and helpless. However, they had harbored ungrounded superiority complex over Japan. Ex. Sino-centrism They tended to regard Japan's modernizng efforts as a disturbing factor to Sino-centrism.
Without keeping three points in one's mind, one must not see a history of Japan in relation to what China fabricates and what both Koreas fabricate.
South Korean pres. Lee appeared on KBS TV last night and stated that he had cancelled his planned trip to Ulleung Island and Takeshima Islets with his wife last month due to bad weather. However, he stressed that he could visit those islands anytime he wishes since they are ours.
Regarding textbooks published and used in Japan which describes Takeshima as an inherent part of the territory of Japan, those knowledgeable of Takeshima islets (in Japan) should consider it right that it is part of South Korea. We don't have to excessively dispute over Takeshima islets.
U.S. developed incendiary bombs specifically designed to maximize the effect of indiscriminate bombing non-combatants including unborn babies, babies, children, women, the aged, etc.
LeMay and his man were happy about their kills.
Hundreds of thousands of lives were suddenly and deliberately ended by evil, despicable acts of atrocity. B-29 bombers flying at very low altitude above Tokyo, dropping incendiary bombs and napalms on the innocent civilians. Exploding -- not only burning a huge -- a huge number of houses but also suffocating and incinerating a huge -- a huge number of humans have filled us with disbelief, terrible sadness, and unyielding anger. It was just a huge -- a huge gas chamber and a huge incinerator --the largest ever created in the history of mankind. It was just intended to demonstrate their superiority over the Asian races. But they failed. Many Asian nations gained independence from the white ruled nations after the war.-Ted Yokohama.
tweets "South Korea gained independence all by itself! " That's utterly fabricated and absurd! No one desired to be independent from Japan in those days. South Korea was forced by U.S. to become independent from Japan. That is a truth!
A true history tells us that:
On August 15, 1945 when Japan decided to end the Greater East Asia War, Governor of Korea, Great Imperial Japanese Army General Nobuyuki Abe and Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Yoshio Kouzuki lowered "Rising Sun flag" and hoisted "South Korean flag", thereby initiating the establishment of Korean Nation Preparation Ccommittee and granting Korea autonomy. In other words, South Korea never gained independence from Japan but was granted "Autonomy" by Japan on August 15, 1945.
On September 9, 1945, "Rising Sun flag of Japan" was lowered as "Stars and Stripes flag of the United States was hoisted.
However, the autonomy granted by Japan did not last long. On September 8, 1945, the United States of America advanced its forces into Southern Korea (now called South Korea or Republic of Korea), the U.S. forces nullified "autonomy granted by Japan" and pulled down "South Korean flag" and hoisted "Rising Sun flag".
U.S. forces proved that Southern Korea was a part of Japanese territory, therefore, placed under administration of U.S. forces after September 9, 1945.
On September 9, 1945, a day after U.S. forces advanced into Southern Korea, General Douglas MacArthur declared that Southern Korea would be placed under administration of U.S forces. And, "Stars and Stripes" was flown over the sky in Southern Korea.
Therefore, August 15 is not the day South Korea became neither independent nor liberated. Three years later August 13, 1948 is the day when South Korea was established after becoming free from administration of U.S. forces.
Above all, Korea never fought against Japan to gain independence at all before and during annexation of Korea by Japan because Korea asked Japan for the annexation in those days lest Korea would be completely controlled by either Russia or the western powers. The annexation of Korea was internationally fully recognized as being lawful. It was done in a peaceful manner.
It is crystal clear that four northern islands and Takeshima islets have been integral part of Japan. However, four northern territories and Takeshima have been illegally occupied. U.S.A. loves to regard Takeshima issue and four northern territories issue as territorial disputes although Japan sees nothing disputable as they have been historically integral part of Japan.
U.S.A. has been much concerned over Libya's future and U.S.-China relations right now. Only limited number of Americans are aware of Japan's territorial issues. Only few Americans have recognized the fact that South Koreans attacked and occupied Takeshima on Jan. 18, 1952 (Read Takeshima Day竹島の日Should Be Remembered Along With January 18, 1952-A Date Which Will Live In Infamy ) while U.S. news media report on Japan-S. Korea issues, always beginning with emphasis on Japan's brutal colonial occupation of Korea which in fact has been fabricated by U.S.A. , thereby encouraging South Korea to act against Japan.
I have just been exposed to a story of Canadian man named Pierre Pariseau said to have obstructed "Authorized Gathering" held at Yasukuni Shrine where all Japanese nationals consider sacred and holy as it enshrines more than 2.46 million war dead and those who devoted lives to the nation.
I have read a few articles written in English (including The Japan Times: This paper no longer represents "Voice of Japan" at all.) dealing with this incident, which I believe all biased against Japan and her people due to their education received at schools.
It seems that they are all taught "Japan was an evil in every respect in the last war, so as to justify their atrocities committed against Japan and Asian states. Remember who colonized Asia and Africa. And, remember who stood up alone against the western colonialists to emancipate the Asian population from the western domination. Simply because Japan stood up for justice and freedom in Asia, Japan was regarded as an obstacle to realize the colonization of the entire world by the whites.
Just think, say, one Japanese man goes to Arlington Cemetery every year on Memorial Day and all of sudden tells the American families visiting there to pay tribute to the fallen soldiers "You would be arrested if you beautified the atrocities (Hiroshima massacre, Nagasaki massacre, etc.) your fathers and sons committed against Japan." The American families there would certainly get upset about it and would consider it obstructive to their holy and sacred service being conducted there.
Almost all articles treat those who appear in the video attached below, as right wingers or rightists. What they are all saying is that anyone who loves his one own country and wants to defend his own country is a rightist. Particularly every Japanese has to accept all the stories fabricated by the victors in the last war. Otherwise, they are all rightists. This is only a move to weaken Japan and her people, so as to control them as they wish.
Anyway, the video says in Japanese that he was taken to the Police Box called "KOBAN" based on KOBAN system (now well known in Asia and introduced through Japan's technical cooperation in the area of Criminal Justice in collaboration with the United Nations). He was questioned at "KOBAN" for about two hours and a half. It was found that his name is Pierre Pariseau and he is a Canadian wood furniture artist.
According to the witnesses, he has appeared at Yasukuni Shrine on August 15 for the last four years and has repeatedly obstructed the authorized gathering held at Yasukuni Shrine. He signed a letter of apology addressed to Mr. Tamogami, Yasukuni Shrine and Channel 2 Sakura.
It seems that this particular Canadian harbors a distorted perception of Japan being the same as "Nazi-Germany". Simply because Japan was tricked into a Tripartite Pact with Nazi-Germany by Adlof Hitler, it does not mean Japan had committed any atrocities as Nazi-Germany.
However, it is true that the allied powers used this mere fact of Japan having signed with Nazi-Germany as "a promotional material" in such a magnified manner as to defame Japan and her people. One good example I would like to cite here is that a Japanese diplomat saved more than 6,000 Jews from their plight. Ccompared with a German businessman named Oscar Schindler who saved 1,000 Jews, this Japanese diplomat has not been known to the world because the allied powers find it inconvenient and contradictory to what they have propagated.
According to the US Ambassador Van Fleet, the United States of America concluded that Takeshima islets remained under Japanese sovereignty and the islets were not included among the islands that Japan released from its ownership under the Peace Treaty (San Francisco Peace Treaty).
The Republic of Korea has been confidentially informed of the United States position regarding the islands but our position has not been made public. Though the United States considers that the islands are Japanese territory, we have declined to interfere in the dispute. Our position has been that the dispute might properly be referred to the International Court of Justice and this suggestion has been informally conveyed to the Republic of Korea.
However, in the last six decades, South Korea has refused to face "International Justice" and even has fortified Takeshima islets with a number of structures for which South Korea must assume full responsibility in terms of damages done to the islets.
