A friend of mine and I were watching an American movie titled "Gentlemen's Agreement (filmed by The 20th Century Fox in 1947 and shown at theaters in Japan in 1987) on TV here in Japan.
My friend said: How come we don't see any African Americans and Asian Americans in this movie?
I said: They existed back in 1947 alright but the white Americans---You know what I mean? Just watch one more American movie "Mississippi Burning", and I'm sure you will get it.
A few days later, my friend called me up and said: America is a great country! They've surely got freedom for everything. Japan is no match for U.S.A. No wonder we lost the Pacific War!
