Mr. Nariaki Nakayama, a member of the House of Representatives tweets as follows;
In the Budget Committee of the Lower House, Japan's National Legislature, I believe that the door has been opened for Prime Minister of Japan Shintaro Abe to visit Yasukuni Shrine since I first raised a question of what Prime Minister thinks of his failure to visit Yasukuni Shrine despite the very fact that he visits Arlington National Cemetery where the soldiers killed in battles against Japan are honored and remembered. And, then I touched upon the diary of the late Prime Minister of China Zhou Enlai, in which he states that he was deeply impressed by Yasukuni Shrine when he visited there. This overture, I believe, has thwarted expected criticism (of PM Abe's future visit to Yasukuni Shrine) by China, thus helping Japan become a normal nation.
