A total of six Chinese Navy ships has been confirmed passed through sensitive international waters between Okinawa Island and Miyako islet from November 22 to November 23. The Ministry of Defense has been keeping track of them, assuming that they will conduct drills in the Pacific Ocean as done in the last few years.
In the morning of November 22, one Chinese Intelligence Gathering Ship was sighted headed to the Pacific Ocean by a reconnaissance plane of Japan Air Self-Defense Force. Five Chinese Navy ships including missile destroyers afterwards passed through the same waters. It is believed that China has been strengthening its capability to advance into the Pacific Ocean.
