@SatoMasahisa: Tweets A South Korean ferry operator, Seaspovill Co. has issued a statement declaring that all Japanese citizens will be indefinitely barred from taking its ferries departing from Gangenung to Ulleung island and the easternmost islets of Takeshima. Vice Foreign Minister of Japan has promised to take some countermeasure against the ban. Sure! Visa-free travel agreement between Japan and South Korea guarantees free travel of South Korean citizens in Japan while the government of South Korea violates this agreement. A very strong countermeasure is required as long as the government of South Korea practices a discriminatory measure of banning Japanese nationals from boarding ships to the island. -End of tweet-My comment: The first shot in the dark was fired at three Japanese lawmakers by prohibiting them from entering South Korea at all. A newly introduced ban that bares any Japanese nationals from boarding ships to the island should be taken as the second shot at the entire Japan. The government of South Korea has already fired two shots at Japan and her people despite the fact that the Japanese lawmakers planned to visit the island (a very popular tourist spot) to observe a museum displaying a number of articles which the government of South Korea insists to be substantiating its territorial claims over Takeshima islets. They intended to establish some kind of forum where they can exchange views with the South Korean parliamentarians, etc. in a friendly manner after observing the island and the museum. However, the government of South Korea flatly rejected three lawmakers whose real intent is not to jeopardize Japan-South Korean relations at all but to improve them by establishing the forum on Takeshima islets. And, Japan welcomed the South Korean parliamentarians, etc. to visit Takeshima Museum in Shimane Prefecture without any hindrance at all on February 22. The government of South Korea has never responded to Japan's request to discuss the issue at all. For your reference:
>;@SatoMasahisa: tweets South Korean Immigration Control Law Article 11-1-3 states that refusal of entry requires a sufficiently adequate cause such as activities fully recognized as being detrimental to national interests and public safety of South Korea. Since this article becomes applicable only when terrorists, dangerous persons, etc. who may inflict harm on South Korea, it does not make any sense at all when applied to Japanese lawmakers. South Korean government made a decision to ban our entry last Friday even before asking us a reason for our entry into South Korea.
