Prime Minister Kan reportedly apologized his cabinet members at ministers meeting held on May 31 for his failure to consult Mr. Kaieda, Minister for Economy, Trade and Industry, etc. before making an announcement on planned installation of solar panels in 10 million households at G8 Summit. He made an apology in response to an advice made by Mr.Nakano, Chairman, National Public Safety Commission in which he pointed out that we should share information and thoughts prior to any important announcements.
After the ministers meeting was over, Mr. Nakano stated "I just can't stop the feeling that his announcement was rather abrupt."
