South Korean president Lee has reportedly defamed Japan and her people again when he met with U.S. Secretary of State, Mrs. Clinton at Vladivostok, Russia on September 9. A South Korean government high-ranking official reveals Lee's statement made at his meeting with Mrs. Clinton as saying that Japan has been heading toward "right-wing extremism"; therefore, Japan should abandon "right-wing extremism" for peace in the northeast Asia.
It is expected that his double-faced and double-tongued diplomacy will further deepen Japan's concern over the future relation with the country ruled by a dictator Lee, thereby undoubtedly hardening Japan’s attitude toward the country. It has to be noted here that PM Noda and president Lee agreed on promoting the future-oriented relation between Japan and South Korea during their brief informal meeting at APEC just before Lee’s meeting with U.S. Secretary of State, Mrs. Clinton.
Lee seems so desparate to find any execuse for rejecting Japan's request for the peaceful settlement of Takeshima issue at International Court of Justice in Hague.
