Riki Nakaya of Japan lost the Olympic Men's 73-kg categoryJudo to Mansur Isaev of Russia in a close-fought final. However, in Japan, Judo is one form of Japanese martial arts in which many of the Japanese still find "Bushido", literally meaning the way of Samurai warriors. Whether one wins or loses, one should observe the code of moral principles.
In this context, the following tweet has been made to criticize the bad manner shown by the Russian winner.
@yocchinb いやぁ残念だったな。剣道ならガッツポーズで即時、勝ちを取り消しになるからね。剣道だけは本物の武道としてオリンピック種目にしてはいけないね。もうJU-DOは礼儀作法も無茶苦茶だよ。これは柔道じゃないね。
tweets as follows:
It's a regret that he didn't win. However,if the Russian winner were playing Kendo, Japanese sword fencing, immediately after he shows "Guts Pose", a Japanized English word, meaning "pumping a fist up and down in the air" to celebrate a victory, his victory would have been cancelled. Kendo should never be adopted as an Olympic game. Judo we see in Olympics is no longer Judo in a Japanese sense as the Olympic Judo players just ignore all the moral principles tacitly embedded in our Bushido.
