The Largest Operations Ever For Defending Japan's Southwestern Islands

Japan's Self-Defense Forces (Ground, Air and Maritime) has been conducting the largest military exercise in Kyshu and Okinawa since November 10 in defense of the remote and yet isolated islands in the Southwestern Japan as emphasized in in the National Defense Program Guidelines for FY2011 and Beyond, released in December 2010.
